The Carpet order module (under Production orders in the SCHEDULING section) is used to create production orders for carpet and velvet machines and to follow up the status of orders.


If you never adjusted the custom settings, the Production order settings window will open. See Carpet order custom settings. If you did, the list of orders is shown. This list will be empty if no orders have been created yet.



  1. Custom settings. Opens the Production order settings. See Carpet order custom settings.
  2. Standard buttons. See Order creation and steps below.
  3. More functions. See Carpet order: more functions.
  4. For a description of the icons in the Status column, see Status icons and colors (carpet order).
  5. The color bar shows the colors of the Colored yarn set. If creel mapping applies, then numbers indicate the original position of each color. Click the color bar to see the colors in the theoretical creel and active creel.
  6. You can select the columns of your choice.


Order creation and steps

To create an order, click the Create new button. This opens the Preselection step. The process of creating carpet orders consists of these steps:

Since an order can only be planned once, you might need the same order more than once if the amount of order lines exceeds the capacity of the order. In such case, select an order and click the Duplicate button .

This creates a new order and opens the Configure step because the order needs another name. Everything else is the same, so the order contains the same order lines with the same number of pieces.

You can also use the Duplicate button to create an order with the same or nearly the same configuration to save time.


Also note the Edit  and Delete  buttons

With the Export button , you can export the order list to a CSV-file.


Header panel

In all steps, the header panel is shown:


 

  1. Create or Edit production order + the name of the order.
  2. The selected machine, quality and creel. These are selected in the Configure step.
  3. Buttons to navigate the steps.
  4. Settings button . Contains a switch to hide the Path content panel to have a wider Path layout panel in the Build step and the button View all settings button to open the Production order settings. See Carpet order custom settings.
  5. Buttons depend on the selected step.


Carpet order follow up

For carpet orders in the Produce status (), you can see what was actually woven by opening the order from the orders list:



This shows the Colored yarn sets and Order plan summary where you can see the changes made on the machine vs what was planned.
