When you have a machine newly added to your account, it only has an order id. You can give your machine a name and set the correct configuration.
To do this:
- Open Plant view (section MONITORING).
If it is the first time you open this, you will see general settings such as regimes and machine efficiency parameters,. You can save the suggested defaults. If you would need these parameters in the future it is always possible to change this. - You will see the unconfigured machine on top.
- To configure a machine, select it (detailed information is shown) and click the Edit button
. - Choose the machine type. This cannot be changed anymore afterwards!
- Now you can configure the machine by giving at a Name and setting a Planning group. Planning group is used to group machines if you want to use Connect for planning. If you do not need this feature just enter Default.
- If you configure a machine of the type Carpet loom, you get more options:
These settings are important for planning and processing. If you have no intention of using Connect for planning and processing, enter Default for Planning group.
Fill in the other fields as well even if you only want to change the name. If you want to change the name but do not know the other configuration parameters, you can fill in random numbers and always change them again later. - After saving this, you will see the machine with the entered name in Plant view (section MONITORING) and Documents & training (section RESOURCES).
