Machine cards are shown in the Grid view and Physical view of the Plant view module (section MONITORING)A machine card is a box with a colored header, colored border and content that is related to the machine and its status.

Components

A machine card consists of a colored header (1), a subheader (2), a content section (3) and a colored border (4).

  1. The header can have different sizes:
    • Small, without content:
The color is according to the machine status.
    • Large, in case of a declaration or automatic stop group, with following content:
The abbreviation and pattern that is defined for the declaration or automatic stop group. These also define the header color.
  2. The subheader displays the machine icon and name. When a production order is active, its name is shown as well. The efficiency of the current shift is also displayed, unless it is zero.
  3. The content section displays a selection of machine- and production-related report items (KPIs), such as current status information, shift-related metrics, and production performance data.
  4. If the machine is running, the border is gray. Otherwise, the border takes the color of the declaration or automatic stop group.
  5. Disconnected machines are shown dimmed, displaying the last declaration or automatic stop group, if available.

Colors and border

Small header color: machine status

In case of a small header, the header color indicates the status of a machine:

ColorStatusDescription
greenRunning

The machine is running without running declaration.

blueManual stop

The machine was stopped manually and the stop is not yet organized in an automatic stop group. A stop is considered manual if its description contains 'manual' or 'planned', is blank, or is equal to '?'.

redCritical stop

The machine was critically stopped and the stop is not yet organized in an automatic stop group.

grayNot configured or disconnected

The machine is not yet configured or does not have an active connection.

Machine groups also appear in gray. See Plant view.

Border width: critical stop

The border is shown wider in case the stopped status is critical. Critical stops include all stops except manual ones.

Large header color: declarations and automatic stop groups

The machine status color is overridden by the color of the active declaration or automatic stop group, if one is active. The header also displays the visual pattern defined for that declaration or automatic stop group. See also Declaration settings.

Other appearances

Depending on the zoom level (use the Zoom in and Zoom out buttons), the machine card only shows the detail view with KPI's or an icon (according the machine type). Hovering the small card shows the machine name.

In List view, the status color or the color of the declaration or automatic stop is shown in the Type column, and the  status description in the Status column.

Templates

Different templates can be selected in Plant view resulting in another selection of report items to be shown. This allows to focus on particular data, e.g. efficiency, stop rates. The shown report items can differ according the machine type or according the machine status (run, stop). Example:

The default templates can be customized and new ones can be created. See Customizing machine cards for more information.
