The Planning board (SCHEDULING section) consists of following parts:

  1. Machine rows: Each row represents a machine. The icon indicates the machine type.
  2. Time grid: Displays up to five days, with each day divided into four blocks of six hours.
    1. The shifts are shown as above the time blocks as blue lines with different shades, visually separating work shifts of a regime (e.g. morning, afternoon, night) across each day.
    2. A horizontal line under the time blocks indicates in real-time how much of the day has already passed.
  3. Planning area with planning bars: Runs with orders and non-productive periods are represented by a bar. These are explained further.
  4. Date picker: Shows the selected date range and allows to select a date range.
  5. Filter button to narrow the displayed machines per machine group. This filter helps to organize and distinguish orders that are assigned to different planners or departments.
  6. Needs attention button: Opens a list with the production orders to be planned.
  7. Save button: Any changes made to the planning, whether by drag-and-drop or through the detail panes, must be saved. If you attempt to navigate away without saving, a warning message will appear to prevent accidental data loss.
