A fixed order is a carpet order that can be reused to reserve time for machine changes like a creel change or a quality change.
Fixed orders are typically placed at the end of a run. In this case, they produce the last order of the run so the machine is ready for the next run.
Fixed orders are visualized just like other orders. Example:
1 = run, 2 = normal orders, 3 = fixed order
A fixed order is based on an existing production order. To create a fixed order:
- Under Definitions (section SCHEDULING), open Quality related, then Fixed orders.
- Click the New fixed order button.
- Enter a Name. This is the name that will be send to the machine to select an order from the list.
- Click the Production order box, select a Production order and click Confirm selection.
- Click the Save button.
A fixed order can be planned with the Planning board (section SCHEDULING) just like another order. See How to plan production orders.
The Estimated end date is the Start date + 5 hours. The number of picks and configured speeds are not taken into account.
