This article applies to carpet orders.
As a safeguard, this is prevented by default so that you can cannot plan more carpets than your ERP system requests. The add or edit buttons are disabled for those orderlines.
You can exceed the requested amount of order line items requested by your ERP system and override this safety by opening Production order settings and selectin Allow exceeding requested amount of order line items.
By doing this, you are allowed to plan more than requested, e.g. allowed to enter 6 carpets vs the 4 requested.
As a final safeguard before confirming, a dialog shows a list of all orderlines where you planned more than the ERP system requested. Click Adjust order plan if you want to change the amount planned to follow your ERP system or Ignore to bypass the safeguard.
