Step 4 of the User Interface (UI) transformation (see here for more info) will be done on between 9 and 13 September 2024 and involves following changes:

  • Menu redesign
  • Favorites
  • Breadcrumb bar

Menu redesign

The menu redesign consists of various changes that make it easier for you to navigate and utilize Connect more efficiently:

  1. Module name changes:
The new names adhere to the MESA model. The adoption of this model ensures that the terminology we use is consistent with industry practices. The familiar icons remain the same so you can quickly become accustomed to the new names.

  2. Categorizing modules:
The modules are divided into the intuitive sections MONITORING, SCHEDULING, and RESOURCES, helping you to find what you need more quickly.

  3. Module upgrading:
Following frequently used submodules are moved to the main level and get their own recognizable icon: Trends & reports, Production orders, Sales.

  4. Style related module subgroups:
The style related modules (previously under TEXstyle) are grouped under Definitions in the subgroups Product, Quality and Yarn which facilitates the navigation to the many style related modules.

  5. Sales related modules:
The sales related modules (previously under TEXfab) are grouped under the new Sales branch.

Favorites

Any item without a submenu can be marked as a favorite, enabling quick access without navigating through the entire menu. This feature allows you to personalize your work environment.

'Carpet', 'Weaving', 'Tufting' (under 'Production orders') were renamed to 'Carpet orders', 'Weaving orders', 'Tufting orders' to see the difference with 'Carpet product', 'Weave product' and 'Tuft product' if you mark both as favorite.

Breadcrumb bar

Allows you to easily track your current location within the menu tree.
