Push notifications are used to notify users when a event is triggered. Connect does not have to be open. Push notifications can be enabled both on desktop and mobile.


Enabling push notifications

To enable push notifications:

  1. Click the Notifications button  in the top right corner.
  2. Click the Custom settings button .
  3. Switch the Push notifications button on.


Note: Push notifications can also be activated via Plant view (section MONITORING): Custom settings > Notification panel > Custom settings.


Push notifications button does not toggle

It is possible that the Push notifications button cannot be switched on. In this case, check if push notifications are enabled in your operating system and web browser.


Chrome

Chrome can ask you to allow Connect to show notifications. Click Allow.



You can also allow notifications via Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings. Select portal.texconnect.io. For Notifications, select Allow.


Windows 11

Open Settings > System > Notifications and enable.


Android

Open Settings > Notifications > App-notifications. This can vary per brand and Android version.


Error message appears

If following error appears when clicking the push notification toggle, follow the steps below.



  1. Click the lock icon before the address.
     
  2. This shows information about the current website. Click the Reset permission button and press F5 to refresh the Connect page. You should be able to enable push notifications again.
