When creating a quality, it is possible to set jute conditions. This is needed when you automatically want to add jute when some changes occur in the schedule.

How to set these jute conditions?

  1. Under Definitions (section SCHEDULING), open Quality related, then Quality.
  2. Create or edit a quality.
  3. Open the tab Conditional designs. (the weave structure should already been chosen in the General tab)

  4. On the right you have some General jute settings:
    • Vertical align pathlabels. When paths have a different height, there will be added jute to make the pathlabels start at the same height and the paths will have the same height.
    • Add jute so paths have equal height: You can choose the pattern for the jute to make paths same height.
    • Priority between conditions: This is needed to know which jute needs to be added when two conditions can add jute.
    • Additional side pattern: Adds a line left and right to the jute in a pattern from the weave structure.
  5. Click the  button to add a condition.
  6. Select the type of condition you want to add. See further for more information.

  7. You can always specify the height of the jute that needs to be added (in picks and in mm) and the pattern from the weave structure that needs to be used to create the jute.

Condition types

Path label

Add jute before/after path labels if they exist.

You can choose where to add the jute:

  • Before or after the path label.
  • At the beginning of the path.
  • Before or after the path label at the end of the path.

Path drawing

Add jute at the beginning or at the end of the path.

You can choose where to add the jute:

  • At the beginning of the path.
  • At the end of the path.

Between

Add jute when certain rules are followed.

Without priority:

With priority:

Click Set condition to define the rules.

  1. Operator: Choose between If, And, Or. The first rule in a condition is always If.
  2. Entity: What needs to be checked. Choose between: Shapes, Border colors, Finishings.
  3. Operator: What will happen. Choose between: Equal, Change, Change to, Change from, Do not change, Do not equal.
  4. Selected entities: Not available if the operator is Change or Do not change. These are the entities that need to be checked.

Examples of between conditions

  1. Add 10 picks (equals 5mm in the example) of jute when the shape changes:

  2. Add 10 picks of jute when the shape changes from rectangular to circle:

  3. Add 10 picks of jute when the shape changes and add 20 picks of jute when the border color changes. So if the border color changes and the shape changes, two jutes will be added with a total of 30 picks.

  4. Add 10 picks of jute when the shape changes or add 20 picks of jute when the border color changes. So if the border color changes and the shape changes, one jute will be added with a total of 10 picks. If the border color changes, but the shape stays the same, one jute will be added with a total of 20 picks. If the shape changes, but the border color stays the same, one jute will be added with a total of 10 picks.

To make sure that only one of the two is added, the priority must be set. The first condition that needs to be checked gets priority 1, the second gets priority 2, ...

  5. To add 10 picks of jute when the shape is rectangular, the border color changes and the shape does not change.
