Use the CadCam tool to:
- Edit or create a weave structure
- Edit a drawing from the Connect drawing library
CadCam runs on-premise and has to be installed first.
Installation
- Download the setup program for CadCam from here.
- Execute the downloaded setup.exe. Your web browser might ask to confirm the launch of the software.
- In the Welcome dialog, click Next >.
- Read and accept the License agreement, then click Next >.
- Keep the proposed installation directory and click Next >. Not to be changed?
- Select following extra components and click Next >, When are the other components required?
- Confirm to install MsSQL database and click Next >.
- Select the program language and click Next >.
- Click Finish.
Calling CadCam
- Login to Connect and open Designs (section SCHEDULING).
- Click
to create a new Product configuration or open an existing one.
- Fill in the mandatory fields. See below for a description.
- You can fill in Optional settings. See below for a description.
- Once all desired fields are filled in, click Save. The Product configurations list will be shown.
- Click the created Product configuration. It will re-open the product configuration.
- At the bottom, click the Launch CadCam button.
Fields
| Field name | Explanation |
| Name | Pick a name to identify your product configuration, this name has to be unique. |
| Machine quality | Pick an existing machine quality. The weave structure from this quality will be your main weave structure and will be editable in CadCam. |

| Weave structure | Will display the weave structure from the selected quality |
| Help weave structures | It lets you select a weave structure that will be used to copy patterns from to your main weave structure. |
| Colored yarn set | The yarns in the cross section visualization will be shown with this colored yarn set. If none is selected a default color set will be applied. |
| Weft colored yarn set | The wefts in the cross section visualization will be shown with this colored yarn set. If none is selected a default color set will be applied. |
| Description | Describe the product configuration. |
| Design | This field is optional. This will be the main design that can be edited in CadCam. |
| Help designs | It's possible to send a one or multiple help drawings to CadCam. These can be used to support the creation of the main design. |
