A yarn is made of a certain raw material and has a weight (yarn count).

  1. Under Definitions (section SCHEDULING), open Yarn related, then Yarns.

  2. Click the New yarn button (top right corner).
  3. Enter a Name for the yarn or select a generated name.
Normally this is a combination of the material and the yarn count.
  4. Enter the Yarn count and select the Unit of the weight.
When changing the unit after entering a yarn count, the yarn count is automatically converted.
  5. Under Threads, at least one Thread must be defined: Select the Raw material and its Yarn count.
  6. If the yarn has multiple threads, click Add thread. Per thread, you can select if the thread should be treated as Space dyed thread.
  7. In the Optional settings tab, you can add a Description, Group and Comment.
  8. Click Save.

Now you can use the yarn to create a yarn set.

This module shows the Custom settings button  in the top right corner. For the Name generation pattern, refer to: Name generation pattern.
