A yarn is made of a certain raw material and has a weight (yarn count).
- Under Definitions (section SCHEDULING), open Yarn related, then Yarns.

- Click the New yarn button (top right corner).
- Enter a Name for the yarn or select a generated name.
Normally this is a combination of the material and the yarn count. - Enter the Yarn count and select the Unit of the weight.
When changing the unit after entering a yarn count, the yarn count is automatically converted. - Under Threads, at least one Thread must be defined: Select the Raw material and its Yarn count.
- If the yarn has multiple threads, click Add thread. Per thread, you can select if the thread should be treated as Space dyed thread.
- In the Optional settings tab, you can add a Description, Group and Comment.
- Click Save.

Now you can use the yarn to create a yarn set.
This module shows the Custom settings button
in the top right corner. For the Name generation pattern, refer to: Name generation pattern.
