1. Introduction
The MTN/VM220 Vibration Meter is a rechargeable, portable instrument designed to operate with a constant current type accelerometer to provide accurate vibration measurements.

2. Preparation for use
Carefully remove the instrument from the packaging and ensure that all supplied accessories correspond with the delivery note.

3. Buttons and display
The display shows two measurement values:
- Vibration value
- Crest factor
and additional information such as measurement mode, low pass filter, calculation mode, etc.

4. Charging
Connect to mains with the correct adaptor for your region and connect the mini USB in the MTN/VM220. The unit should reach full charge within four hours.

The meter will automatically turn-off after 15 minutes of inactivity.

5. Sensor connection
The sensor cable can be connected/disconnected at any time.
Once fully charged, briefly press the power button to switch on the unit.

Mount the MTN/MM001 magnet accessory to the MTN/2100-X probe.

6. Settings
Use the buttons ⮉ ⮋ and select the wrench symbol.
Press ➲ to enter the SETTINGS menu.

Use the button ⮈ to return to the main menu.
6.1 Setting units
Use the buttons ⮉ ⮋ ⮈ ➲ to navigate to UNITS and press OK to select.

Use the buttons ⮈➲ to choose between acceleration (A), velocity (V), displacement (D).
Make sure measurement mode velocity (V) has units set to "mm/s".

6.2 Setting measurement mode
Use the buttons ⮉ ⮋ to switch between the measurement modes.
The current mode will be highlighted.
Make sure to select the Velocity mode.

6.3 Setting calculation mode
Use the buttons ⮈➲ to switch between RMS, peak-peak and 0-peak displays.
Make sure to select the RMS calculation mode.
